Accounting Coordinator

The responsibilities of the Accounting Coordinator among others will include:

  • Act as a point of contact between internal departments and accounting, serving as a liaison between accounting and external parties, including clients, suppliers, and associates.
  • Ensure the correct performing of finance and accounting related processes (e.g. postings, taxes, closings, reconciliations, credit, payments). 
  • Coordinate P2P (Purchase to Pay), R2R (Record to Report), O2C (Order to Cash) functions and maintain the effective cooperation between outsourced partners.
  • Analyse accounting systems by evaluating their effectiveness; identify inaccuracies, propose correction actions/remediation plans, seek for efficiencies and make suggestions for improvement measures.
  • Ensure that processes and procedures are always up to date, efficient and compliant with the legislation and company rules.
  • Support accounting projects and administration, investigate feasibility and potential implications in the implementation of new flows and schemes and offer counterproposals.
  • Ad hoc duties within the Finance function, as and when required.



The ideal candidate should have:

  • BA in Accounting or similar field.
  • At least 3+ years of proven experience in accounting.
  • Background in either multinationals or mid-size companies will be preferred.
  • Computer literacy with Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Good working knowledge of the English language.
  • SAP experience will be a plus.


Job-Specific Skills:

  • High Volume Processing & fast pace background required.
  • Strong organisation skills and ability to prioritise and co-ordinate tasks efficiently. 
  • Be proficient in data entry, working to multiple tight deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communicator, both verbally and written, able to clearly explain policies and issues to internal and external customers.
  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to quickly form professional relationships with colleagues and clients at all levels of seniority.
  • Ability to use their own initiative with minimal supervision and hold themselves to a high standard of quality and quantity of work. 
  • Good sense of responsibility and commitment to confidentiality.
  • Proactive thinking but also willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
  • Ambassador across the organization for best practices in Accounting in general.
